Warning Camp!

Warning: Camp is one week away! We would like to remind the campers to bring their lunches and to get ready for a fun time, many of you might be counting down the days, we know we are. Their will be new games and more things to happen this camp, so lets end this summer with lots of fun.

Getting to know New Options

This is for pleasure.
Here are the rules:
Every week we will post a photo of a volunteer or a horse involved with R&R New Options.
The photo of a horse will be an up close picture of the horse and the photo of the Volunteer will be a photo of the volunteer when they were a toddler. You will have the opportunity to guess who it is in the photo.
Throughout the week we will post facts and riddles to help you guess who the horse or person is in the photo.
Every Saturday evening we will post a new photo of a volunteer or horse and throughout the week along with the hints we will post multiple different angled up close photos. Then following Friday evening we will reveal who is in the photos.
We as New Options are doing this to make getting to know us a bit more easier for you, and please feel free to participate, all guesses are welcome.

So, can you guess who?

Here is the first riddle for the game Getting to know New Options.

I am big and mighty, and love to eat food.
I am the only of this color , can you guess who I am?

Summer Season

The arena is full of hay, and the Sandy barn is filling up fast, but there is still more hay to get. All the help we can get is greatly appreciated.
We get hay almost every day. If you would like to join us please call Aunt Les 503-312-1440

Shout Outs!
Thank you to the Wardle Family for letting us use your trailer to pick up hay!
Thank you to Dwaine, Paige and Lori for letting us use your trucks!
And thank you to all of our weekly volunteers we wouldn't have this hay without you.

Anyone who looks at New Options facebook has seen our wonderful mare Peaches Peaches Keen and her now 3 and ½ week old daughter Ziya Ziya Keen. The pictures of the birth and training of Ziya have made us all closer to both mother and daughter.
This makes it even harder to share the news that Peaches Keen has left us to join God’s heavenly herd. Peaches was a good and loving horse who would never do harm to anyone. Even though she came from a very hard and cruel past she held no malice in her heart. We pray God will help us take care of Ziya and aid in healing her loss and ours. Peaches will forever be with me as she runs with Ackshun through the hole in my heart.
